The Work

I’ve spent 15+ years doing the work most brands talk about: finding what’s true, turning it into a clear position, and making it show up consistently across product, packaging, creative, retail, and digital. I started as a designer in newspapers and print shops, then grew with the digital age into brand, marketing, and product leadership. The thread has always been the same, ask the right questions, build the right plan, ship the right work.

I’ve led concept to consumer strategy for brands selling in 3,000+ stores and across the biggest channels, including Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Meijer, Walmart, retailer sites, and Amazon. I’m at my best when things are complex, timelines are tight, and everyone wants to move fast. That’s when the “why” matters most, and that’s where I’m useful. Clarity, taste, momentum, and a team that doesn’t burn out getting there.

The Guy

Louisville’s been home for 20+ years. I’m here with my wife and three kids, building work that holds up and a life that’s real. Fun fact that still makes people blink: I was the mayor of Rolling Hills, Kentucky. I’m also a founding board member of a new nonprofit supporting leather arts, education, access, and the preservation of craft history.

Cattle Brand Leather is my off switch and my way of giving back. It started as hobby leatherwork, then became a simple system for doing good. Scrap and branded hides that still deserve a second life get turned into clean, durable goods, then sold to support causes and local work that matters. No gimmicks. Just honest craft with a point.
