Portfolio-ish
Howdy Be Clear. Folk!
Admittedly, I wasn’t prepared to apply for a role this design-heavy, and I don’t have a formal portfolio pulled together yet. The first half of my career (not reflected on my resume) was as a graphic designer for a couple newspapers and as head of pre-press for a printing company. During that time I produced a lot of logos and ads, along with page layout for magazines, catalogs, and sales materials. What I can share right now are a few websites and references that represent the kind of work I’ve done - both hands-on and directing teams - over the last 5+ years:
Everywhy: A site I built in the last couple weeks to help generate consulting work while I search for something permanent. This page is a backend link I created specifically for my application. If you’re reading this, you’re already on it - feel free to click around and get a better sense of my background.
ReaLeather + The Speedy Stitcher: realeather.com and speedystitcher.com — I created and/or directed much of the website work, Amazon pages, packaging, and many of the leather products for both brands.
Cattle Brand Leather (Instagram): instagram.com/cattlebrandleather — a personal creative project and a way I give back, built from experience in my previous role. I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus recently, but Gilda’s Club reached out this week for items for an upcoming silent auction, which should get me back at it.
